How to Join Your AlphaMD Consultation Using Google Meet

If you’ve scheduled your consultation with AlphaMD, you're just a few quick steps away from meeting with your provider. This guide will walk you through how to join your consultation using Google Meet — whether you're using a desktop computer or a mobile device.

Follow the steps below to ensure you're ready when it's time for your appointment.

How to Join on a Desktop Computer (Recommended)

  1. Go to AlphaMD.org and log in to your account.
  2. Click the My Account dropdown in the upper right corner and select My Profile.
  3. At the top of your profile page, you’ll see a box with the date and time of your scheduled consultation.
  4. Double-check the appointment details, then click the orange "Join Meeting" button.
  5. A pop-up window will appear — click the orange "Join Meeting" button again.
  6. Google Meet will open in a new browser tab.
  7. When prompted, click “Allow” to give meet.google.com access to your camera and microphone.
  8. On the right side of the screen, enter your name into the "What’s Your Name" box.
  9. Click the blue "Ask to Join" button.

You’ll be placed into the virtual waiting room. Your provider will join you shortly.

How to Join from the Confirmation Email

  1. Open the confirmation email you received from Calendly.
  2. Scroll down to the section that says:
    “This is a Google Meet web conference. Join now.”
  3. Click the Join now link.
  4. Google Meet will open in a new tab.
  5. When prompted, click “Allow” to give Google Meet access to your camera and microphone.
  6. Click the blue "Ask to Join" button.

You’ll be admitted into the virtual meeting room shortly.

How to Join on a Mobile Device

  1. Go to AlphaMD.org and log in to your account.
  2. Tap the Account icon in the upper right corner and select My Profile.
  3. At the top of your profile page, you’ll see a box with the date and time of your scheduled consultation.
  4. Tap the orange "Join Meeting" button.

If You Don’t Have the Google Meet App Installed:

  • Tap the iOS or Android download button that appears.
  • Install the Google Meet app from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Once installed, return to your AlphaMD profile page.
  • Tap the orange "Join Meeting" button again.

Once Google Meet Opens:

  1. Tap the blue "Ask to Join" button.
  2. Enter your name in the text box.
  3. Tap the blue "Join" button.

You’ll be placed in the waiting room. Your provider will join you shortly.
