question from a user

I was tested by my general practice doctor, I (30M) Had 192 total T, and 41.2 free T. My doctor has me only on .25ml of a 200mg/ml vial one time weekly. After 3 months I don't feel different, and they don't want to increase my dose due to "my age" and "risk of blood clotting". Should I look elsewhere?

While we can’t provide medical advice via this forum, I can say that your protocol is atypical in both dose (low) and frequency (twice weekly is now considered standard).

Obviously it varies, but the average man converts 1mg of exogenous testosterone into 6.5 ng/dL of total testosterone. This means that it is likely that your testosterone tops out at 325 ng/dL right after your shot and drops to around 175 ng/dL later in the week.

Most men have low T symptoms at or even above a level of 325ng/dL. I would be surprised if you felt any relief at all on your current regimen.

Age is never a factor for TRT (since we can mitigate the risk of infertility with ancillary meds) and the risk of blood clots has been refuted in the latest studies. In fact, the most recent study on the matter demonstrates that hypogonadism carries a much greater risk of clotting than TRT does.
