As you mentioned, hair loss is primarily genetic. The reality is that if you have made to to age 44 without any hair loss, then it is very unlikely that it will occur once you start TRT.
However, a few options are available if it does occur. Male pattern baldness is not from testosterone, but from dihydrotestosterone, a derivative of testosterone. Obviously the higher your T levels, the more DHT you will create, so you can always lower your dose.
Another option is to use a 5a-reductase blocker like duasteride or finasteride, which blocks the enzyme that converts T —> DHT.
A less common but perfectly viable option is to lower your testosterone dose and add nandrolone in its place. Nandrolone converts to DHN, which has very little androgenic potential.
MPB is mostly reversible if you catch it early and intervene. We recommend keeping a close eye on things and reporting to your doctor if you notice any hair thinning so treatment can be started right away.
